Plant Manager / Production Manager (f/m/d)

As Plant Manager / Production Manager (f/m/d) at BWF Profiles, you will lead the operational and technical build-up of our new production site in Mexico, from initial planning through to a stable three-shift serial operation. Your focus: efficient plastic profile manufacturing, robust processes, and measurable results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and implement the new production site, including layout, machine installation, qualification, and ramp-up
  • Drive industrialization and production set-up with clear targets for OEE, cycle times, and changeover times
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team (approx. 18–20 employees) in a three-shift operation
  • Introduce standardized work procedures
  • Ensure stable quality processes, occupational safety, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate closely with HQ in Offingen and provide regular KPI reporting
  • Manage budget, inventory, costs, and P&L within approved frameworks

Ideally, You Bring

  • Degree in engineering (e.g., production/plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • Proven success in building or scaling a production site, including a successful start of serial production
  • Practical experience in plastics processing (e.g., extrusion/thermoplastics), ideally profile manufacturing
  • Hands-on leadership: visible on the shop floor, decisive, execution-oriented, and metrics-driven
  • Experience in an international environment; familiarity with German quality and process standards is an advantage
  • Business-fluent Spanish and English; German is a plus
  • Residence in Mexico or willingness for a long-term on-site assignment; willingness to travel internationally
