Managing Director / Plant Manager (f/m/d)

As Managing Director (m/f/d) for BWF Profiles in Mexico, you will build a new manufacturing site from the ground up and lead it to sustainable success. You will be accountable for greenfield setup, start-up and ramp-up, organizational build-out and team leadership, both operationally and strategically. Your focus: efficient series production of plastic profiles, scalable operations, quality, safety, and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the new manufacturing facility (greenfield build-up)
  • Manage the industrialization process and production ramp-up
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team
  • Implement standardized processes and clear information and reporting pathways
  • Ensure best‑in‑class quality management, workplace safety, and environmental compliance
  • Collaborate closely with HQ in Offingen with regular KPI reporting
  • Support customer relationships and business development activities throughout North America
  • Manage budget, investments, cash, and P&L within approved frameworks

Ideally, You Bring

  • University degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering) or a comparable technical discipline
  • Proven success in establishing and/or scaling a manufacturing site, including start-up and ramp-up
  • Experience in an international environment, ideally with a German headquarters
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, decisive leadership, and consistent execution
  • High level of initiative combined with a hands-on approach
  • Business-fluent proficiency in Spanish, English, and German
  • Willingness to be based in Mexico; readiness for international travel
